Servicing & Maintenance of an Integrated Renewable Heating System (Air Source Heat Pump + Solar Thermal into Ratiotherm Oskar Thermal Store) Location: Albion

This work was carried out at Albion, where we serviced and maintained a complex renewable heating system integrating an air source heat pump and solar thermal collectors, both connected to a Ratiotherm Oskar thermal store.

Service Overview:

Air Source Heat Pump:

• Checked refrigerant pressures, electrical components, and control settings.

• Cleaned filters and coils; verified system pressures and flow rates.

• Ensured correct operation of external sensors and system response.

Solar Thermal System:

• Inspected collectors and pipework for damage and obstructions.

• Checked Tyfocor LS fluid levels, system pressure, and pump operation.

• Bled air from the system and verified expansion vessel performance.

Ratiotherm Oskar Thermal Store:

• Inspected internal temperature layering, sensors, and integration with energy sources.

• Verified correct functioning of all stratification and control zones.

• Checked all valves, safety components, and insulation integrity.

This service ensures continued performance, safety, and reliability of the system, supporting efficient heating and hot water delivery across the site.
