Daniel Ward – Specialist Heating Engineer. A Legacy of Expertise & Passing on Knowledge.

 

From a young age, I Daniel Ward, was immersed in the plumbing and heating industry, starting work experience at just 13 years old alongside my father, Alan Ward, and my brother, Carl Ward, who taught me the fundamentals of the trade. Leaving school early, I dedicated myself to hands-on learning, gaining real-world experience in domestic, commercial, and renewable heating systems.

 

To expand my expertise, I trained extensively across Europe and the UK, working alongside specialist manufacturers to master new technologies and develop a deeper understanding of European heating systems. At the time, training in the UK was lacking, so I sought out advanced knowledge abroad to bring innovative and highly efficient solutions to my customers.

 

Over the years, Carl and I have joined forces, combining our experience to deliver exceptional heating and plumbing solutions. Together, we have worked on a wide range of projects, from small domestic systems to complex commercial and renewable energy installations. With our shared commitment to quality, efficiency, and problem-solving, we continue to push the boundaries of heating technology, ensuring our customers receive the very best service.

 

Alongside installations and servicing, we have also developed custom software for control systems, integrating complex technologies to make the impossible possible when it comes to heating management and efficiency. Our expertise in control system design allows us to streamline and automate heating operations, optimising energy use and delivering tailored solutions for homes and businesses.

 

As part of our commitment to the next generation of heating engineers, we have welcomed Charlie, our apprentice and stepson, into the business. Just as Carl and I learned from our father, we are now passing on our knowledge to ensure valuable skills and industry expertise continue to be shared. Training and mentoring are at the heart of what we do, as we believe in investing in the future of the industry to maintain the high standards that customers expect.

 

Although my father, Alan Ward, is now retired, he still enjoys talking about the industry, sharing his insights, and reflecting on how heating technology has evolved over the years. His passion for the trade has shaped our approach, and we remain committed to the principle that knowledge should always be shared and passed on to younger generations. By supporting new engineers and developing their skills, we ensure that the industry continues to grow, products are well-supported, and customers receive the best possible service for years to come.
